AZ Sestante signals ‘ramped up’ growth with senior hire

The investment consulting arm of AZ Next Generation Advisory (AZ NGA) backer Azimut Group, AZ Sestante, has announced the appointment of Antonio Vaiente as Head of Business Development.
Formerly the Head of Business Growth at Fitzpatricks Financial Group for over 10 years, Vaiente brings a wealth of experience and expertise in business development and growth having also held other similar roles at ANZ, iPac Securities and Zurich.
Director of AZ Sestante and and Chief Executive Officer of Azimut Group, Massimo Guiati, said the appointment comes as the business looks to continue supporting its financial advice business clients amid an “increasingly uncertain economic and geopolitical landscape”.
“In these uncertain times, we see plenty of opportunity to help financial advisory firms navigate the changing investment landscape, and build and manage robust portfolios that meet their clients’ goals and objectives,” he said.
“We have a strong local team, backed by a large, experienced international team of investment professionals, making our proposition unique in the Australian market. We are investing in the growth of AZ Sestante for the long-term and we have the right team to take this business forward.”
Vaiente is the latest in a string of personnel additions made by AZ Sestante since the beginning of the new year, with former Evergreen Consultants analyst, Mitchell Healey, joining as Investment Analyst, and former Future Fund Governance Committee member, Francis Obre, joining as Head of Operations.
“It is an exciting time to join AZ Sestante,” Vaiente said.
“Investors and advisers are grappling with heightened economic and geopolitical risk, and many are looking for guidance and direction to understand what’s happening in the world, the macro-economic themes driving markets, and how that impacts their client portfolios.
“AZ Sestante can bring unique insights and perspectives on macro-economics, markets and portfolio construction.”
AZ Sestante specialises in building multi-manager model portfolios via SMAs, MDAs, and fund of funds.
