Netwealth’s Heine family make Richest 250

The founders of publicly-listed financial services platform business, Netwealth, Michael and Matt Heine have made it onto Australia’s “Richest 250” list published by The Australian newspaper.
In fact, “Michael Heine & Family” are listed at 57 in the publication’s overall ranking and third in terms of personal wealth in the financial services industry behind hedge fund founder, Michael Hintze and IC Markets founder, Andrew Budzinksi, but just ahead of stock-picker Alex Waislitz.
The publication attributes Michael Heine and Family with being worth $2.15 billion, which puts them ahead of fund manager, Platinum’s Kerr Neilson and former Macquarie Group boss, Nicholas Moore.
The Richest 250 list is topped by West Australian mining magnate Gina Rinehart with $32.64 billion, followed by another West Australian mining magnate, Andrrew Forrest, with $31.177 million.
The average wealth on the list is $2.08 billion and there are 131 billionaires.
