AIA Australia has moved to strengthen its relationships with financial advisers with a restructure of its retail insurance team.

The restructure underpins the company bringing together underwriting, new business administration and distribution.

The restructure follows on from AIA Australia’s recently announced changes to reinsurance arrangements, with the company stating that the objective was to reinforce its commitment to the retail adviser market.

The restructure sees Chief Retail and Partnerships Officer, Sam Tremethick appointed to lead the development and delivery of the strategy within the Retail and Partnership team, while recently-appointed Chief Underwriter, Karen James will take on added responsibility overseeing the new business administration function.

At the same time, the announcement said that the Adviser Premium Service team would now report to the General Manager, Retail Distribution, Craig Parker.

Commenting on the restructure, Tremethick said it was aimed at driving efficiency in the service offering.

“Bringing these functions together will mean faster and easier application processes, simplified and tailored experiences for our customers and partners, and it will deepen our customer-first focus,” he said.

Where are they

I haven’t heard from anyone from AIA for over two years. Wouldn’t even know who to contact and we used to be a high user of their product before that and still have a big book there

@Tony,
You’ll be lucky to find one and if you do, they don’t pick up the phone, they are too busy attending meetings.
If you’re lucky you might get a call back in 2-3 weeks, that is after you have left a couple of messages on their voice mail.

I once rang the Sydney office at 9.10 am and it went straight to the operator at Head Office in Melbourne.
I was politely told no one was available but I can take a message.

Good luck in your quest.
I think the lights are on…..but there’s no one at home.
