Rest recruits AustralianSuper’s Ed Waters

Retail sector industry fund, Rest, has managed to recruit former AustralianSuper deputy company secretary, Ed Waters, as its company secretary.
The fund announced that Waters would bring more than 15 years’ experience in governance roles in the superannuation and financial services industry.
Rest Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer, Tyrone O’Neill said Waters’ strong governance expertise would be a great asset to the fund..
“He is an experienced secretarial and senior legal professional, with more than a decade of in-house experience. His familiarity with profit-to-member super funds and the regulatory environment we operate in are especially valuable. We are delighted to welcome Ed to Rest.”
Waters joins Rest from AustralianSuper, where he has been the Deputy Company Secretary since 2021, including two stints as acting Company Secretary in 2022 and 2023.
Prior to this, he worked for Bupa in a variety of roles from 2008 to 2021, culminating in four years as Senior Legal Adviser – Head Office Advisory.
