AMP boosts platforms arm with retirement solutions hire

AMP has filled a new position within its Platforms function with the appointment of Estelle Liu as Head of Retirement Solutions.

Commencing in the role from 22 July, Liu joins AMP from Aware Super, where she was the Actuarial Practice Lead for Member Strategy and was involved in developing the super fund’s retirement income strategy.

At AMP, Liu will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of financial solutions across the Platforms business to help members manage their wealth and boost their retirement confidence.

Liu brings extensive experience in the delivery of retirement solutions across the superannuation sector, having also spent time at Mine Super and Rice Warner, as well as working closely with industry regulators and government stakeholders such as ASIC, APRA and Treasury as Chair of the Actuaries Institute Australia’s Superannuation Projection and Disclosure Sub-Committee.

During her time at Aware Super, Liu also created the algorithm behind its “retirement projection” tool and launched the Retirement Confidence Score risk metric to help members make informed retirement decisions.
