TAL brings back financial advice ethics course for second year

The TAL Risk Academy has reinstated its Financial Adviser Code of Ethics series through a dedicated program running the entire month of May.
Ethics Month provides training in professionalism and ethics, with four new educational courses on navigating conflicts, ethical dilemmas, recent client determinations and how ethics can help inform their client advice and daily business practices.
TAL National Sales Development Manager, Jason Bamford, said TAL brought back Ethics Month after significant positive feedback for the 2023 series with over 1,700 enrolments.
“TAL’s Ethics Month is designed to support advisers in their compliance with the Code of Ethics and provide a practical understanding of this important topic,” he said.
“Ethical decision-making lies at the heart of responsible financial advice practice. In today’s complex and rapidly evolving advice landscape, advisers are regularly faced with complex ethical dilemmas. Our aim with Ethics Month is to empower advisers with the knowledge and resources to confidently navigate these challenges.
“This series will offer insights and tools which can be applied in practical, real-world scenarios, giving all participants the opportunity to develop their critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills to better serve their clients.”
Curated by the TAL technical team, the program consists of weekly, CPD-accredited live webinars that dive into key parts of the Code of Ethics and assess real-life scenarios to arm advisers with the knowledge and skills to deal with ethical dilemmas.
