The Women in Wealth Awards, hosted by Financial Newswire, is back in 2025, and with close to 140 finalists and 38 highly commended and winners honoured at last year’s gala dinner, the stage is set for another year of deserved recognition of the trailblazing women in wealth.

The awards has returned in 2025 with a few updates from last year’s edition, including a new and improved set of criteria and questions with a word limit, the opportunity for nominees to put their best foot forward prior to shortlisting, only one round of submission questions required and some new categories.

“The Women in Wealth Awards are an important way of recognising the contribution women are making in our industry. The awards also create awareness for organisations on the breadth and depth of talented women who are looking for leadership opportunities and who will likely be our future leaders,” Linda Elkins, National Sector Leader for Asset & Wealth Management at KPMG and 2024 Woman of the Year recipient, said.

Check out the new categories, awards criteria and submissions instruction on the event page now and submit as many nominations as you’d like prior to the portal closing date of 17 February.

“Women in wealth are working to improve the financial wellbeing and therefore the overall wellbeing of Australians generally, and they will be key to securing the financial future of women. Now is the time to nominate exceptional women in wealth who have demonstrated leadership and initiative across different areas of the financial services industry, including wealth management, investment, technology, compliance and risk management, financial planning and superannuation. The range and depth of talent deserves to be recognised, so get your nominations in before the portal closes on 17 February 2025,” Judith Fox, chief executive at the Stockbrokers and Investment Advisers Association and returning Women in Wealth Awards judge, said.

Financial Newswire is also proud to be working with a panel of leading women figures across wealth management and financial services who will analyse and judge every finalist submission to determine category winners, as well as the esteemed Woman of the Year recipient for 2025.

“The awards are an important recognition of the significant contributions women make to our industry, driving innovation, leadership, and excellence. Celebrating these achievements not only honours the award recipients but will also help inspire the next generation of women to pursue careers in wealth management,” Alexis George, chief executive at AMP and incumbent Women in Wealth Awards judge, said.

“Last year, I was privileged to witness first-hand the depth of talent among the nominees, supported by their employers, colleagues, and families who play a pivotal role in their journeys. Their stories of resilience, innovation, and leadership left me inspired and optimistic about the future of our industry, which is enriched by so many exceptional women driving progress and excellence. If you know someone who deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated for their contributions, don’t wait—get them nominated now!” Jaime Johns, Non-Executive Director at Mason Stevens and returning Women in Wealth Awards judge, said.
