La Trobe Financial continues hiring spree

Australian alternative asset specialist, La Trobe Financial, has announced yet another executive hire, this time appointing Travis Goudie as Deputy Chief Financial Officer – Vice President.
Goudie’s appointment follows in the wake of a string of personnel changes made by the asset manager, with the latest being former BlackRock executive James Waterworth joining just last week as Head of Distribution.
The series of appointments come as the firm looks to solidify its leadership team capabilities given its recent foray into the private credit market, gearing up to achieve its goal of $55 billion in assets under management (AUM) by 2030.
“I’m incredibly excited to have joined La Trobe Financial,” Goudie said.
“It’s a privilege to contribute to a long-standing Australian business entrusted with growing the retirement savings of everyday Australians.
“La Trobe Financial is experiencing a period of remarkably strong growth—it’s a very exciting time to be here.”
Goudie joins La Trobe Financial from Equity Trustees (EQT), where he was General Manager – Group Finance & Treasury. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Deloitte working with local and international clients across financial services and funds management to provide audit and accounting advisory services.
“Travis’s extensive experience and collaborative approach in building engaged, high-performing teams aligns strongly with La Trobe Financial’s culture, and we are happy to have him join the team,” Martin Barry, Chief Financial Officer at La Trobe Financial, said.
La Trobe Financial also appointed Tim Wood as Head of Listed Equities back in May, and David Tagg as Head of Investments and Catherine Donatiello as Head of Product Support at the end of April.
