Amundi acquires Alpha Associates

European investment manager Amundi has acquired independent asset manager, Alpha Associates in a move which it says will position it as a leading European player in the multi-manager space.
Announcing the acquisition, Amundi said that the combined entity would deliver a team of 79 experts, a combined €20 billion of assets under management and an enhanced multi-manager offering across private debt, infrastructure, private equity and venture capital.
Commenting on the transaction, Amundi chief executive, Valerie Baudson said the acquisition would allow the firm to significantly broaden its client base, capabilities and product offering.
