Credit Suisse Australia CEO to join ANZ
The chief executive of Credit Suisse Australia, Richard Gibb, has been appointed to the board of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ).
Gibb will step down from his role at Credit Suisse on 31 January and will take up his role on the ANZ board effective 15 February.
ANZ noted that Gibb had a long career in the banking industry globally including holding senior roles at Deutsche Bank and at Merrill Lynch.
Confirming Gibb’s appointment, ANZ chair, Paul O’Sullivan said his extensive global banking experience would further strengthen the board.
