‘Major milestone’: CALI secures first corporate partner

Australia’s peak life insurance body, the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI), has signed global wealth and insurance technology developer Equisoft to its inaugural Partner Program.
CALI chief executive Christine Cupitt welcomed the global software-as-a-service (SaaS) vendor to cross-industry collaborative arrangement, recognising Equisoft’s “deep domain expertise in the financial services industry”.
Cupitt added that the maiden partnership would “help our members continue to expand Australians’ access to the life insurance protection that suits them when they need it most”.
Equisoft becomes the first business to join CALI’s Partner Program, which was created as a means of fostering collaboration between experts in the financial services sector and senior life insurance leaders.
Naintara Sahay, Equisoft APAC’s vice president of insurance and wealth management, said the tech firm looked forward to sharing knowledge and solutions to benefit CALI members.
Sahay added: “Through this partnership, we can participate in forums to address business problems and provide solutions to support the life insurance industry’s strong future.”
Equisoft is a global provider of digital platforms and programs for the insurance and investment sectors. The tech developer boasts more than 270 partnerships with financial institutions worldwide.
The firm’s flagship solutions include SaaS policy administration, CRM, financial needs analysis, financial planning, asset allocation, fund and portfolio analysis, quotes and illustrations, electronic application, agency management systems, as well as customer, agent and broker portals.
Formed in 2022, CALI is the dedicated peak body for Australia’s life insurance sector, representing 99% of Australia’s life insurance market and all reinsurers.
CALI promises to serve “as the progressive voice of life insurance in Australia”.
