JANA reunites former BT execs to bolster wealth team

JANA Investment Advisers has reunited a former executive duo from BT Financial Group, hiring Paul La Macchia as wealth sales director to work under Zac Leman, who joined the firm as general manager for wealth in May.
The $1.7 trillion asset consultant announced La Macchia’s appointment for a newly created role on Thursday, saying he will support Leman in expanding its wealth footprint by strengthening relationships with financial advisory groups, dealer groups and investment platforms.
At BT Financial Group, La Macchia served as senior new business manager for NSW. He boasts more than two decades of experience working with independent financial advisers, high-net-worth private wealth firms and national dealer groups.
Leman said La Macchia’s client engagement and business development experience would support JANA’s strategy to expand its presence in the wealth market.
“Paul’s extensive client engagement experience and proven business development track record will be instrumental as JANA accelerates its expansion in the wealth market,” he said.
“As client needs evolve, his strategic insight and deep understanding of market dynamics will play a key role in strengthening our presence and enhancing our wealth offering.”
La Macchia said he was looking forward to joining a team with strong investment expertise and a focus on adviser relationships.
“I am confident JANA has a compelling offering for IFAs and private wealth firms, particularly as advisers seek greater efficiency and trusted investment partners,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with advisers and wealth clients to help them achieve better investment outcomes through practical insights and portfolio solutions.”
La Macchia commenced his role at JANA in 30 June, Tuesday.
