Hackett appointed CEO of Merricks Capital
Former MLC Life chief executive, David Hackett has been appointed as chief executive of Merricks Capital.
The company has announced Hackett’s appointment along with a range of changes to its executive team.
Hackett joined Merricks Capital in 2020 as an independent non-executive director and has been responsible for chairing the firm’s audit risk and compliance committee.
Hackett’s appointment will the firm’s founder and Chief Investment Officer, Adrian Redlich become executive chair.
The firm said that the moves had followed a strong year of growth in funds under management and the opening of its Sydney office.
Along with the appointment of Hackett as chief executive and Redlich as executive chair, Merricks Capital announced the following changes: Lynda Cheng to join the parent company board as independent member in an advisory capacity, Craig Haskins to join the Agricultural advisory board and Matt O’Halloran to join the Commercial Real Estate advisory board
The company said that Redlich would focus his time on strategy, investments, and investors in his role as Executive Chair and Chief Investment Officer, while Hackett would concentrate on managing business operations.
