Vamos to chair Zurich Assure Board

Former chief executive at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), Pauline Vamos, has been appointed as Chair and Independent Director of Zurich Assure.

Effective from 1 July, Vamos said she was “delighted” to be joining the Board and its current members, Kieran Forde and Matthew Drennan.

“I am delighted and honoured to join the Zurich Assure board and look forward to working alongside fellow board members and the broader team to evolve its operations and strong customer offering,” she said.

In addition to her previous time at ASFA, Vamos is also a former Director of Financial Services Regulation at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and was also Head of Legal and Compliance at Tower Life.

The board of Zurich Assure, the life insurance advice arm of Zurich Financial Services Australia, is not Vamos’ first board appointment. She currently serves as as a Non-Executive board member of Mercer Superannuation (Australia) Limited, Chair and President of the
Governance Institute of Australia, and a Non-Executive Director at Chief Executive Women.
