FinCap buffs up governance expertise ahead of MA platform launch

In anticipation of the launch of its new private markets managed account platform next month, FinCap has taken the initiative to strengthen its governance expertise by installing an Investment Committee with Leanne Bradley and David Wright as the inaugural members.
Bradley, who has been appointed independent chair, and Wright as committee member will be joined on the committee by FinCap Chair, Christian Ryan, and Head of Portfolio and Investment Solutions, Ben Davis, in providing independent governance and oversight of the platform’s asset allocation, portfolio construction and fund selection processes.
Wright, who recently joined the Third Link Growth Fund Investment Committee, brings more than three decades of experience across investment research, manager evaluation and consulting having spent more than 20 years as the CEO and co-founder of Zenith Investment Partners.
Bradley boasts more than 25 years of experience across investment management, asset consulting and financial services governance, having spent time in several senior positions at Australian investment firms curating her expertise in portfolio construction, manager research and investment governance frameworks.
“Having an independent Chair with Leanne’s calibre and experience, alongside David’s deep expertise in investment research and manager evaluation, gives us a Committee with genuine substance,” Ryan said, commenting on the appointments.
“As we prepare to bring the FinCap Platform to market, we wanted a governance framework that reflects how institutional investors think about oversight, accountability and rigour.
“Leanne’s background in investment governance and portfolio construction makes her ideally suited to chair the Committee, and David’s track record at Zenith speaks for itself. Their independence and combined depth of experience will be invaluable as we scale the platform.”
The committee appointments follow not long after FinCap announced it had selected BCA Research as its strategic research partner, responsible for supporting the establishment of asset allocation and portfolio construction frameworks for the platform.
The platform is designed for Australian wholesale investors seeking “scalable portfolio solutions”, providing advisers and asset consultants access to professionally managed private asset opportunities across private equity, private credit and real assets underpinned by institutional-grade governance and reporting.
