Rest appoints two senior people & culture execs
Australian superannuation fund, Rest, has boosted its People and Culture team with the appointments of two new general managers who will report to Chief People Officer, Amy Murrell.
Amy Matthews, former Head of Organisational Development at Aware Super, joins as General Manager, Organisational Capability & People Experience, and former Chief People Officer at NobleOak, Kama Ghosn joins as General Manager, People Solutions and Services.
Matthews will spearhead the development and implementation of the fund’s “people strategies” to boost employee experiences and value proposition. Ghosn will lead operations delivery across the fund’s People & Culture teams, with various tasks including “optimising service offerings, enhancing employee experiences, improving accuracy and efficiency in all operational processes, and providing strategic leadership in the WHS, remuneration and reward space”.
Commenting on the appointments, Murrell said Matthews and Ghosn bring extensive experience in people and culture from both the superannuation and adjacent industries.
“We want our people to truly love their work and find purpose and excitement in what they do each day because this is key to Rest’s success in supporting our members to achieve their best-possible retirement outcome,” she said.
“Amy and Kama will both play a pivotal role in strengthening our culture of organisational excellence and Rest’s position as an employer of choice.
“We are fortunate to already have a great culture at Rest and want to build an ever-stronger work culture where our people can think creatively to make the experience of super simpler for our members and help them make choices that lead to better retirement outcomes.”
Both based in Sydney, Matthews commenced her new role at Rest on 9 December and Ghosn will begin on 21 January 2025.
